1. What this Policy is about

1.1. Misteria Vale (the "Game") is a detective game in which the User writes their lines in their own words, while the game characters' answers are produced by artificial-intelligence models. Both of these texts — the User's line and the character's answer — are checked for unacceptable content.

1.2. This Policy explains what exactly is checked, within what deadlines, by what measures, and how to report a violation. The list of unacceptable content is defined by the User Agreement (clause 10.6, /en/legal/terms/); this Policy neither widens nor narrows it.

1.3. This Policy is part of the Game's set of documents and applies together with the User Agreement (/en/legal/terms/) and the Artificial Intelligence Policy (/en/legal/ai/).

2. What is checked

2.1. Lines entered by the User in the Game.

2.2. The answers of game characters. ⚠️ This is not a formality: the answer is produced by a model, the User is the first to see it, and the Seller, not the User, is responsible for it.

2.3. Checking follows the list in clause 10.6 of the Agreement. The list used by the automated check and the list in the Agreement are the same list: their match is verified by an automated test on every build of the Game.

2.4. The following is not unacceptable content and is not checked as such: discussing the circumstances of the Game's case — the crime, a death, a weapon, a motive. The Game is a detective story (clause 10.7 of the Agreement).

3. How it is checked

3.1. The automated check runs at least once every 24 hours. The texts of the past day are checked automatically against the list in clause 2.3.

3.2. A human is a required part of the check, not an exception. The results of the automated check are reviewed by the Seller's staff. The automated check only selects texts for review; the decision on a measure is made by a human.

3.3. ⚠️ Silence from the automated check does not count as permission. If the check did not run, or its result was not received, the texts stay unreviewed until the next run and are shown to staff as unreviewed. The absence of a detection is never recorded as "no violations".

3.4. A review is recorded with its date and the name of the staff member. Days that nobody reviewed are shown separately in the review tool.

4. How to report a violation

4.1. By means of the Game. Every game character's reply, and every reply by another participant of a shared game, carries a button for reporting a violation.

4.2. By contacting support — support@misteriavale.com.

4.3. The review deadline is no more than 48 hours from the moment the report is received (clause 10.8 of the Agreement). The deadline runs from the report, not from the next automated run.

4.4. Any User with access to the relevant game party may report a violation. A repeat report about the same reply returns it for review even if it was previously found acceptable.

5. Measures

5.1. Removal of the reply. The text of the reply is removed from the Game; the fact of removal, its date and the person who performed it are retained.

5.2. Blocking of the Account for repeated or grave violations, under sections 15 and 16 of the Agreement. A block can be lifted; the remaining Mana is retained when an Account is blocked (clause 16.3 of the Agreement).

5.3. Proportionality. The measure is chosen according to the nature of the violation. A single character reply produced by a model is not a violation by the User and does not lead to measures against the User.

6. Disagreeing with a decision

6.1. A decision can be challenged by contacting support at the address in clause 4.2. The challenge is reviewed by a person who did not take the challenged decision, where that is possible.

6.2. The Seller informs the User about the blocking of their Account and the grounds for it (clause 16.2 of the Agreement).

7. Priority of the Russian version

7.1. This Policy is drawn up in Russian. Translations into other languages are provided for convenience; in the event of a discrepancy the Russian version prevails.
