The villages come alive
All five villages have been redrawn — new ground, new houses and the edge of a floating island — and the case menu now has an updates section.
Graphics
- All five villages have been redrawn: the houses, the taverns, the shops, the mill and the trees.
- The ground is built from new grass, clay, water and cobble art, with hand-drawn transitions between them.
- Small details are scattered across the ground: tufts of grass, pebbles, fallen leaves and ripples on the water.
- Paths now have a verge: grass creeps unevenly onto the clay instead of stopping at a tile border.
- The edge of every map is now the edge of a floating island: cliffs below and clouds drifting slowly past.
- Fire at the Mill now takes place at dawn, with soft light, mist over the river and wind in the branches.
- The Silver of the Saints is set on a rainy evening, with lit windows, mist in the hollows and swaying trees.
Features
- The case menu now has a Game updates section: version number, date and the full history of changes.
- The update history opens over the menu and scrolls without taking you away from the game.
- The website now has a news section with every update, in Russian and English.
- The home page shows a summary of the latest update with a link to the full history.
Fixes
- The investigator’s idle gestures no longer freeze when standing still for a long time.
- Buildings, villagers and props in every case now stand exactly where they belong.
- If an old save ended up inside a rebuilt house, the game returns the investigator to the starting point.
